What is the best way to get red sox tickets?

I need red sox tickets for August 19th, but I don’t want to spend too much over face value.

Sometimes hotel or upscale condo/apartment complexs have concierges that have tickets or connections to ticket brokers. One such place is tillinger’s in the John Hancock Tower. I pay a few dollars over face value and get decent seats. Hope this helps.

buy them the second they go on sale or go to ace tickets right across the street from fenway where you can them very cheap. if you have a buddy with season tickets then you can talk to him. calling the Red Sox to help as well. good luck though. the Sox are amazing and we boston sports fans buy them quickly!

Check online with the secondary market ticket sites. Sometimes you can get good deals from season ticket holders who cannot go to the game. Also, buying them online from them at the last minute can also save money at times. I went to a baseball game yesterday in Arizona through Vertex Tickets and it was sold out (opening day) and I waited until the day of the game and ended up getting them just under face value (picked them up on the way to the Chase Field). Red Sox are always a tough ticket to get cheap, but sometimes you can get them.

This has never fail me when I go to Fenway - even when they play the Yankees.

Go the game early - I am talking about 4 hours before game time or maybe even earlier. Get on line like the rest of those standing by … near the box office or ask security where the line begins for game day ticket sale.

The Sox always has about 100-200 extra tickets to every game - most for Average Joe.

If you are unlucky and happens to stand behind a broker/runner, then you might not have any luck.

If that doesnt pan out well, have a sign of LOOKING FOR TWO TICKETS - TRAVEL FROM FAR FAR AWAY…. some one will pitty you enough to let you buy their ticket at face value. If this does happens, and you happen to sit next to the seller, get him or his group a round of beer.

Again, I have never been shut out at a baseball game!

Pick a crappy opposing team on a weekday game and get them off Craigslist or Ebay for a little over face value.

Craigslist 2 or 3 days before the game - you will find people at the last minute can’t go and then put them on sale
